Having tested negative for Covid again, President Joe Biden will resume "public engagement and presidential travel," the White House announced Sunday morning.
"This morning, the President's SARS-CoV-2 antigen testing was negative for a second consecutive day," said Kevin O'Connor, the president's physician, in a statement released early Sunday.
The White House said Saturday that Biden had tested negative for Covid but that he would continue "strict isolation measures" out of an abundance of caution until he tested negative a second time.
Biden first tested positive for Covid on July 21, then experienced a Covid rebound at the end of the month.
The president is due to travel to Kentucky on Monday to meet with Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear and visit with families affected by the lethal flooding the state experienced recently.
