The second day of Senate Judiciary Committee hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court begins at 9 a.m. EST on Tuesday. Watch the hearing live online above when it starts, and follow coverage from our reporters here.
Jackson would be the first Black woman appointed to the Supreme Court if approved by the Senate. President Joe Biden nominated Jackson, a former public defender currently serving on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer. Jackson delivered an opening statement to the Judiciary Committee on Monday and is expected to take questions from senators on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Hearings for Jackson’s nomination will continue on Wednesday and Thursday.
